I was wondering if anyone else has this problem on dA:
Everytime I go to browse or search for other artists' portraits or fanart, I get thousands of drawings of little animated japanese girls with rabbit ears. dA is definitely overrun with manga and anime. I have no problem with the style or fans that enjoy it. I'm just not interested in it and it gets irritating when 9 out of 10 results are cartoons. I want to be able to more easily find work similar to my taste. Perhaps a new category... Traditional Art > Drawing > Portraits & Figures > Photorealism. I don't know. Something like that. I'm sure some of you have thought the same thing at one

Dude, there needs to be a greater number of portrait artists on DA. Manga is wonderful, but there's just too much of it.

Lol, I couldn't agree more. Anime/manga is a great art form, but I wish there were more traditional, photo-realistic portrait artist out there.
Do you go to those places and actually take all those pictures??
